IEM Season IX – World Championship
IEM Season IX – World Championship is the final event of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 9. The event will be held in Katowice, Poland on March 12th.
It takes place in the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland, and will end on March 15th.
Participants:
Before the final event the qualifiers were held, in a result three quotas were drawn on the European servers, 2 places in the US and 3 on Asian servers.
Also 8 teams, which took 1st and 2 nd places in the previous four events Intel Extreme Masters Season 9 will take part in the tournament: IEM Shenzhen : TaeJa, Solar;IEM Toronto : Zest, Flash; IEM San Jose : herO, Rain; и IEM Taipei : Maru, Life.
Also the following gamers will attent the final event:

16 players playing in Single-elimination format.
All matches are Bo5.
Grand Final – Bo7.
Prize pool of the tournament is $ 117.707 and 7,000 WCS Points will be divided as follows:
1st place – $ 68,707 + 1,500 WCS Points
2nd place – $ 15,000 + 800 WCS Points
3-4 place – $ 7,000 + 550 WCS Points
5-8 place – $ 3,000 + 400 WCS Points
9-16 place – $ 1,000 + 250 WCS Points
